Most people let their contracts run from year to year. You'll be amazed how much you could save.
Some people pay £200 for a unit while others pay £50. The chances are you are paying too much.
5 inside secrets that most hygiene companies don't want you to know - do these sound familiar?
- Make it really difficult for the client to cancel. Sign them up for 3 years, and allow them only to cancel in the 35th month. Contact them in the 37th month, and re-sign them for another 3 years - after all they've missed their chance to cancel.
- Baffle the client as to the real cost they are paying, so it's not obvious for them how to work out the annual cost. Make the invoices obscure and do not show the rental period clearly.
- Add dubious charges to your invoice. Call it 'duty of care' or 'admin charges'. Make them small enough for the client not to bother complaining, but be sure it adds another 5% to your bottom line.
- Get the best possible annual increases you think you can get away with. Always go for above-inflation and call it 'increased working costs'.
- Never provide 100% servicing through the year. Plan for 90-95% servicing. The client rarely tracks it and if they do complain, just apologise and send someone in next day. This reduces operating costs by at least 5%.
